Wow.....over 10 years together as a band! Our friend, Stan Zupon,
got it all started in September of 93. Cathy and Fred's "Aural Sense"
band had just dissolved and Stan (guitar), Andy, and Ross Dorrell (bass) happened to be looking for a
drummer and vocalist. Stan got everyone together to jam on Halloween night at the old Mike's Café in Painesville and
the fun began.
The name FRACAS came from the acronym: Fred Ross
Andy Cathy And Stan....it's a real word...look it up in the dictionary!
A few years later, Stan left and The FRACAS worked as a 4 piece band featuring Cathy's dynamic vocal style. In 2002 Ross left and Beth Gladen worked a few months on bass until Dave joined up in early 2003. Shortly thereafter, The FRACAS jammed with Joey (baritone and bass saxophone) and
Marty (trumpet) and the TRIPLE BLACK DEATH horn section was born. They were joined by Gary Sweetapple (tenor saxophone) and
Joe Hollings (trombone) and today's powerhouse FRACAS line-up was complete.
With the unique vocal ranges and musical talent of the members, no song is impossible. From Shania Twain to Janis Joplin.....from Chicago
to AC/DC.....from Blondie to Led Zeppelin, The FRACAS boasts the most versatile list in the business. A FRACAS show features the classic songs from everybody's favorites and you'll want to dance from the opening song until last call!
